Illegal-Ivory Bust Shows Growing U.S. Appetite for Elephant Tusks
The next time you browse cute little ivory objects in a jewelry shop, remember that those objects could be made out of the tusks of protected elephants illicitly killed by poachers and then smuggled to the United States. Their death could have far-reaching consequences, perhaps even affecting the climate.
